The present study investigates the influence of socio-demographic and driving-related variables on road safety attitudes among drivers. A sample of 300 licensed drivers was selected using random sampling from Hisar district, Haryana. Data were collected using the Road Safety Questionnaire (RSQ). Pearson correlation and multiple regression analyses were employed to examine relationships and identify significant predictors. The findings revealed that driving experience, type of vehicle, and marital status significantly predicted road safety attitudes, with driving experience emerging as the strongest predictor. The results highlight the importance of experiential and social factors in shaping safe driving behavior. The study contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence from the Indian context and offers practical implications for road safety interventions, driver education, and policy development.
